From the gangway to your hotel, with the whole group together
After days at sea, the last thing your group wants is a scramble for taxis. We'll line up a vehicle and driver from a licensed operator to meet you at the terminal and carry you on to the hotel, the airport or the next adventure.
Why a pre-booked vehicle matters at the ports
Australian cruise terminals keep a tight grip on their kerbs. At Sydney's Overseas Passenger Terminal, cars can't park on ship days and there are no bays to wait in for pickups; at White Bay, kerbside stops are two minutes and the car park is short-stay only. A driver who knows the arrangements, and is booked for your group, makes all the difference.

Port by port, in brief
In Melbourne, arriving passengers leave Station Pier through the Gatehouse; private pickups happen in the entrance car park, which is where your driver waits. At Fremantle, the terminal car park is for pickups and drop-offs only on cruise days.
Brisbane's terminal at Luggage Point has no public transport, so a booked vehicle is the easy option. Charter connections need prior agreement with the port, and limousines shorter than 6.5 m may use the two-minute set-down area, as long as the driver stays with the vehicle.
Hobart suits smaller vehicles nicely: booked cars and vans under 12 seats use a 2P voucher bay by the water, and your driver comes on foot to the terminal to find you, while larger vehicles need to organise their pickup with TasPorts two days in advance.
Rules worth knowing
- On cruise days, White Bay Cruise Terminal is reached only via James Craig Road from The Crescent
- At Brisbane's cruise terminal, vehicles over 6.5 m must use the Coach & Shuttle Area
Timing it right
At the Overseas Passenger Terminal, disembarkation usually gets under way roughly half an hour after the ship ties up, and embarking passengers are asked to arrive at least an hour before departure. Sydney Airport is about 25 to 40 minutes away by road, depending on traffic.
Let us know the ship, the date and your onward flight or hotel, and the driver's pickup can be set around the realistic time your group reaches the kerb.
Your questions
Can we stop for sightseeing between the ship and the airport?
Yes, if the flight times allow. A short city loop or lunch stop can turn a transfer into a proper last morning.
How much luggage can a minibus take?
Less than you might think when every seat is taken. Give us the bag count and we may suggest a larger vehicle or a luggage-only run.
What happens if the ship docks late?
Share the ship name with your booking so the operator can follow arrival changes. Tell us straight away if your plans move.
