Minibus Hire Across Australia

From First Message to a Minibus at the Door

Booking the transport shouldn't be harder than planning the day. Here's what happens after you get in touch. Nothing is charged until you accept a quote.

Tell us about the day

Who's coming and how many. The date. The pickup address in full. Every stop in the order you'd like them, with roughly how long you'll spend at each. Where and when the day should finish.

Then the details that change the vehicle: suitcases, golf bags, a pram, an esky. For an airport or cruise transfer, add flight numbers or the ship's name. If anyone uses a wheelchair or struggles with steps, say so now, so the operators we approach can offer something that suits before any pricing.

An operator prices your trip

Your plan goes to an accredited, insured partner operator that has a fitting vehicle available on your date. The operator tallies up hours, kilometres, waiting, tolls and any airport or park access. Long days need care: under the Heavy Vehicle National Law's standard hours, the driver of a bus over 4.5 t GVM built for more than 12 adults, driver included, can't be on the job for more than 12 hours in any 24, and WA and the NT apply their own schemes. If your plan runs longer, expect a second driver, an overnight stop or a shorter day to be suggested.

Read your quote

One quote covers the whole trip: which vehicle, the timings and route, what's included, and the cancellation terms. Cancellation terms aren't the same with every operator or vehicle, so take a minute over them. If anything doesn't match your plan, ask for a change. Asking commits you to nothing.

Say yes when it's right

Accepting the quote is the first point at which you're charged anything. After that, you'll get the booking confirmed in writing.

When plans shift

Numbers go up or down, a flight runs late, someone wants one more cellar door. Let us know as soon as you do. We run it past the operator, and if the price moves you'll hear about it before anything extra is charged. If you have to cancel, the terms written on your quote are the ones that apply.

When the day arrives

Be at the pickup early, with everyone counted. Plenty of places only let a vehicle stop long enough to load: the Overseas Passenger Terminal drop-off in Sydney allows two minutes, and the terminal zone at Sunshine Coast Airport is for immediate pickups only. A slow start can squeeze the last stop of the day.

Your questions

How soon will I hear back?

It varies with how busy your date is and how far the trip goes. The fuller your first message, the less back-and-forth before a price comes through.

People mover or minibus: which do we need?

Send the headcount and the luggage, and your quote names the vehicle that fits.

Is there a deposit to get a quote?

No. Requesting a quote is free, and nothing is taken unless you accept it.

Share your plan

Headcount, date and a list of stops are enough to get started.
