We Arrange the Minibus; Local Operators Drive It
We're a booking service for groups who'd rather travel together. We arrange minibuses, people movers, coaches and cars, each with a driver, through accredited, insured partner operators around Australia, and we look after your request until it's booked.
Who does what
You deal with us. We read your plan, find an operator with a suitable vehicle free on your date, have the trip priced and confirm it in writing once you accept. If something changes, we take it back to the operator.
The operator supplies the vehicle, employs the driver and runs the trip. Once you're under way, safety, the route and the driver's working hours are the operator's call, so times and stops are settled beforehand.
The standard every operator meets
Every partner operator must hold the passenger transport accreditation its state or territory requires for the vehicles it runs, and carry the insurance Australian law requires. The details vary around the country. In New South Wales, bus operators are accredited by Transport for NSW, while trips in vehicles of twelve seats or fewer, counting the driver, come under point to point transport rules. In Victoria, anyone running a bus service with ten or more seats, driver included, needs accreditation from Safe Transport Victoria.
Why smaller vehicles come first
This service is built around groups of roughly half a dozen to 19: wedding parties, families, friends on a wine weekend, a club on tour. A people mover or minibus pulls up closer to a cellar door, and nobody rattles around in a half-empty coach. Bigger groups get midi and full-size coaches.
What you won't find here
A price list, for one: each trip is quoted for its date, hours, distance and vehicle. Shared seats on a scheduled tour, for another, since every booking is a private vehicle for your group. And no charge until you accept a quote, with the cancellation terms, which differ by operator and vehicle, written on it before you pay anything.
Where the local detail comes from
What we say about local rules on the city, airport, cruise and event pages is drawn from what official bodies publish: the airports and ports, local councils, state transport departments, the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator, park agencies and the venues. Treat distances and drive times as a guide. Rules shift over time; if one could make or break your plans, we'll have it checked when your trip is quoted.
Your questions
Are you a bus company?
No. We're a booking service. The partner operator provides the vehicle and the driver and runs the trip.
Is the driver a tour guide as well?
You're booking a vehicle and a driver. If you'd like a guide too, mention it and we'll ask whether the operator can arrange one.
Can a trip cross state borders?
Yes. Send the whole itinerary. Driver hour rules aren't the same everywhere, since Western Australia and the Northern Territory run their own fatigue schemes, so the operator plans the days with that in mind.
