Minibus Hire Across Australia

Choose the Right Size of Vehicle for Your Group

Every vehicle comes with a driver from an accredited, insured partner operator. People movers and minibuses suit most small groups; coaches step in when the numbers grow.

Count everyone, then choose

Include the organiser, the kids and anyone joining halfway. If you're twelve, a people mover is too snug and a minibus is right. At thirty, a midi coach does it in one vehicle, or two minibuses if the group splits up later. An executive car is handy for the wedding couple or a guest of honour.

Luggage and the rules behind each size

Luggage room shrinks as seats fill, so mention suitcases and sports gear early. Size also changes who can drive: up to twelve people, counting the driver, in a vehicle of 4.5 t or less is class C car-licence territory, while a bus seating more than twelve adults calls for at least an LR licence. Heavy buses and coaches made since 1 July 1994 have to meet ADR 68, a design rule covering seat belts and how strong the seats must be.

Room for wheelchairs

In a wheelchair-accessible minibus, a lift or ramp gets everyone aboard and wheelchair positions replace some of the seats. Let us know early and we'll put the request to operators with suitable vehicles.

Your questions

Can I choose the exact vehicle?

You pick the kind of vehicle. The exact one comes down to the operator's availability on your date, and your quote names the type.

Should everyone buckle up?

Wherever a seat belt is fitted, yes. In New South Wales, passengers older than 16 face a fine if they leave a fitted belt undone.

We're between two sizes. What then?

Your quote names the fit: one larger vehicle, or a minibus plus a people mover.
