Minibus and People Mover Hire, Place by Place
Twenty places have their own page, from Cairns and Darwin in the tropics to Hobart and Launceston in Tasmania, with wine country and mountain towns in between.
Start from where you're staying
Each page is written around a base: the sights groups head for, the areas where visitors tend to stay, the nearest airports and the days out that work from there. Two regions get pages of their own because so many trips end up there: the Blue Mountains around Katoomba, and the Hunter Valley's wine country at Pokolbin and Cessnock.
Clocks and distances
Queensland keeps standard time all year while New South Wales moves its clocks forward in summer, so for months at a time the Gold Coast is an hour behind Byron Bay. Out in the centre, distances stretch: Uluru is about 468 km from Alice Springs by road, usually an overnight trip rather than a day out.
Your questions
My town isn't listed. Can you still help?
Yes. Send your plan anyway. A trip that starts near one of these places, or passes through, is quoted the same way.
Are the drive times exact?
No. They're approximate road times without stops. Traffic, roadworks and weather add to them, and a coach can be slower than a car on some highways.
Can one trip cover two places?
Yes. Put every leg in one request, such as Sydney to the Hunter Valley and back, and it's quoted as one trip.
