Minibus Hire Across Australia

Perth Airport minibus pickups for families, teams and wedding guests

Perth is a long flight from almost everywhere, so by the time your group lands everyone's ready to be somewhere. With a minibus or people mover and a driver, you'll go from the terminal to the city, Fremantle or the Swan Valley without anyone squinting at a map.

Two precincts, about ten minutes apart

Perth Airport works as two separate precincts, T1/T2 and T3/T4, roughly a ten-minute drive from each other. Check which terminal your airline uses before you book: a driver waiting at the wrong precinct is an easy mistake to avoid.

If your group is split across both, a free terminal transfer bus links them. Choose one precinct as the meeting point and send the others across.

Bays sized for your vehicle

Buses and shuttles collect from the T1 Coach Bays or the T3 Coach Bays. The zones are split by size, so a big coach, a mid-sized bus and a minibus each head for a different area. There's no separate holding area, and every bus operator needs the airport's permission before picking up, which is all part of what's arranged when you book.

The terminals

  • Terminal 4 (domestic)
  • Terminal 3 (international and domestic)
  • Terminal 2 (domestic)
  • Terminal 1 (international and domestic)

Good to know at Perth Airport

  • Time extensions can be given in time-limited bus zones while a bus is actively loading passengers and luggage.
  • The airport has two terminal precincts, T1/T2 and T3/T4, about a 10-minute drive apart; a free terminal transfer bus runs between them. Check the airline's terminal before booking the pick-up.
  • Chauffeured cars and other small charter vehicles need a Perth Airport SCV Access Card and use designated areas, including the T1 International SCV Parking Area beside International Arrivals and reserved bays in the T3/T4 short-term car park.
  • All bus operators must have written permission from Perth Airport, or have made arrangements with it, before picking up passengers at the terminals; operators contact the airport to register as a ground transport operator.

The drive in, and beyond

By road, Town Hall is roughly 17 km from T1 and 13 km from T3; either way, about 20 minutes when it's quiet. You won't meet a toll anywhere in WA. In the city, buses can't stop in loading zones even for a moment, so give the exact hotel address and the driver will pick a legal set-down.

Fremantle and the Swan Valley are each about half an hour from the city. Margaret River is roughly three hours south, far enough that after a long flight a relaxed start the next morning is kinder than a same-day transfer.

Your questions

Can we go straight to Rottnest from the airport?

Not by road, because Rottnest is car-free. The driver can take you to a ferry terminal instead; Fremantle has the shortest crossing, about 25 minutes, and Hillarys and Barrack Street Jetty run services too.

Which terminal does our flight use?

It depends on the airline and sometimes the flight, so check your booking. Give us the flight number and the operator can confirm the precinct.

Is a people mover big enough for a family of nine?

No. A people mover seats six or seven, with bags behind the back row, so nine people need a minibus of 16 to 19 seats, which also leaves room for prams, surfboards or golf bags.
